Tax, insurance, pension plan

Filed under: Relocation — arikb @ 11:59 pm

Before relocating:

  • National insurance - precentage of the salary
  • Health insurance - precentage of the salary
  • Pension plan - employer and me pay for it
  • Insurance - employer and me pay for it
  • Income tax - I pay a lot

Before geting work visa, employee of the Israeli company:

  • National insurance - precentage of the salary
  • Health insurance - precentage of the salary
  • Pension plan - employer and me pay for it
  • Insurance - employer and me pay for it
  • Income tax - I pay a lot (some people told me I can get some tax break for working abroad?)

During the relocation period in Israel:

  • National insurance - ?
  • Health insurance - ?
  • Pension plan - ? (I need to keep it somehow)
  • Insurance - ? (I need to keep it somehow)
  • Income tax - 0

while in the US:

  • National insurance - ?
  • Health insurance - ? (I definitely need one)
  • Pension plan - ? (Do I even need one?)
  • Insurance - ? (I definitely need one)
  • Income tax - I pay

After returning:

  • National insurance - precentage of the salary
  • Health insurance - precentage of the salary (am I covered again right away?)
  • Pension plan - employer and me pay for it (how do I continue with the current program?)
  • Insurance - employer and me pay for it (how do I continue with the current program?)
  • Income tax - I pay a lot (do I need to pay for the time I was in the US?

I'll update this entry as I fill in these details.

This is all very confusing. A good resource I’ve found (in Hebrew).

Feel free to comment if you KNOW about any of these.
